‘Bribing journalists!’ screamed the famed Supreme Court advocate Prashant Bhushan when the Chandrababu Naidu government recruited 25 journalists into I&PR.
Another esteemed critic of all things Padmaja Shaw dubbed Naidu’s action as legalising ‘prostitution of the media’.
Now could these eminences take time out of their busy schedules and enlighten us, the common folk, on the following orders by Jagan government?
A total of 150 posts are newly created (apart from the regular staff of I&PR and besides the specially-imported Vijaya Kumar Reddy) for spreading the message of Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy!
The additional burden on I&PR is a paltry Rs 5 crore a year.
These jobs are besides a cabinet-rank Advisor on Media, another cabinet-rank Advisor on Inter-State Media Affairs, one Chief PRO to CM and one Digital Director (a post specially created to take the good news to the social media).
How different is this government from the earlier one?
