Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court took up the counter petition filed by YCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. His lawyers filed a counter and sought dismissal of the plea filed by the CBI. It may be recalled that CBI filed a petition requesting cancellation of bail of the Andhra Pradesh Opposition Leader based on an interview given by Former Chief Secretary P Ramakanth Reddy to Jagan owned media house Sakshi.
In his counter, Jagan held that he has nothing to do with the interview of the IAS officer who is the prime witness in two charge sheets. He also said that Ramakanth Reddy responded only to the questions asked by the journalist. Jagan claimed that, the retired IAS officer had already testified before the CBI. In the counter, he accused the CBI for deliberately bringing up the issue.
The CBI court postponed the trail to April21.
