It is natural for ruling party members to feel `impatient’ over the presence of opposition leaders. But now in Telangana Assembly the opposition members themselves feeling `inconvenience’ with the presence of Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy. Most of opposition members are expressing their displeasure over the performance of Jana Reddy. Some of them are suspecting whether he is having some understanding with the ruling party?
At the Congress Legislature Party meeting itself many Congress members asked him to be `aggressive’ in the house against the ruling party. When ministers turning aggressive against previous Congress regimes and showing `impatience’ for any criticism, they deplore Congress leader is not giving fitting reply.
Former Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao has openly expressed his displeasure over performance of Jana Reddy and sought that he should aggressively retort ruling party members’ tirade against Congress members.
In the ongoing assembly session though leaders like B Jeevan Reddy, M Bhatti Vikramarka, M Uttam Kumar Reddy and Chinna Reddy were seen aggressively attacking the government in the house. But Congress leaders seems to be unhappy with Jana Reddy, who can intervene at any time as leader of opposition, is not aggressive in the house and many times speaks like an adviser to the government.
At one stage, when Congress members deplore the Speaker is not respecting even leader of opposition, Legislature Affairs minister T Harish Rao retorted stating that “We know how to respect him, but see media reports to know how your party is respecting him.”
Telugu Desam Party leader A Revanth Reddy also questioned Congress members `lenient’ attitude towards the treasury benches in the house. Stating that his party is ready to join hands with Congress to corner the ruling party in the house, he said that it is the turn of the Congress party to show their sincerity by moving no-confidence motion against Speaker.
Otherday, Congress members announced that they were considering to bring a non-confidence motion again Speaker Madhusudhana Chary, who is now giving desired space for the opposition members in the house. Moreover, they alleged he was acting with prejudices. Even Jana Reddy also on several times expressed his discontent over Speaker’s attitude.
