Superstar Rajinikanth’s gangster drama Kabali is nearing completion. The film was shot extensively in Chennai, Malaysia and Goa. Having completed major portion of his shoot in Kabali, Rajinikanth commenced shooting for Robot 2.0 and the first schedule will be wrapped up today.

The penultimate schedule of Kabali will kick start in Chennai on New Year Day and Rajinikanth will join the sets for completing his part. Special sets have been erected and the shooting will continue for two weeks. The makers are planning to release the film in Summer and the post production work will commence in February.

Radhika Apte is playing Rajini’s wife in the film which features an ensemble cast. The film has been titled Mahadev in Telugu. Ranjith Pa is directing the film and Kalaipuli S Thanu is producing it. The audio launch is likely to be held in Malaysia.
