Tamil actor Karthi scored a super hit with Khaidi and the film ended up as a cult classic and a remarkable film in his career. Even before the release of Khaidi, the team announced the sequel and the director Lokesh Kanagaraj is done with the script. But the project got delayed due to the commitments of Karthi and Lokesh Kanagaraj. Karthi is promoting Sardar and during the promotions of the film, he announced that the sequel of Khaidi will start rolling soon. “At any cost, the shoot of Khaidi 2 will commence next year. More details will be announced officially” told Karthi.
After the super success of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, Lokesh Kanagaraj is rushed with offers. The director will soon direct Vijay and he also has the sequel of Vikram lined up. In this mad rush, the talented director too is in plans to shoot for the sequel of Khaidi. The pre-production work kick-starts after Lokesh Kangaraj is done with his work for Vijay’s untitled film.
