Exactly as per the ‘Muhurtam’ timing, Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhara Rao filed his nomination papers to contest from Gajwel assembly constituency. The Veda Pundits had set the timing at 2.34 p.m. on Wednesday which falls in the ‘Venkateswara Swamy janma nakshtra samayam’. Accompanied by his nephew and minister T. Harish Rao, KCR arrived at the venue and filed his nomination.
It is KCR’s personal belief to follow auspicious timings as per the predictions of pundits. The timing of today’s nomination is expected to bless him with Raja Yogam for another time. Before filing his nomination, KCR along with his party activists visited Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Konayipalli in Siddipeta district. He offered prayers there and priests offered pujas to the nomination papers. It is a custom for KCR to offer at this temple before undertaking any major task.
Speaking to activists and sympathisers later, KCR said their party’s commitment to the development of Telangana people would bring victory in the next month’s election and he promised to take up more welfare programmes for uplifting poor families in the state in coming days. He asserted that the TRS has brought new prosperity to the villages in Telangana by implementing Mission Bhagiratha and various irrigation projects.
KCR has also hit out at Mahakutami leaders, saying that the Congress ticket aspirants have to make so many visits to Delhi for final allotment which showed their pitiable condition.
