Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao inaugurated the Rs 307 crore prestigious Bhakta Ramadasu Lift Irrigation (BRDLIS) Project at Erragadda Thanda in Khammam District. After the inauguration the CM addressed a public meeting in Tirumalayapalem mandal headquarters town in Kusumanchi mandal.
KCR congratulated the people especially the farmers for helping the government in delivering the project 2 months ahead of the schedule. He said that the region faced decades of drought, but the TRS government successfully brought the Krishna river waters to cover 60000 acres of land in just 9 months. He showered praises on Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao calling him a front runner for the project activities.
The TRS party chiefaccused that Ramadas aka Kancherla Gopanna was not given enough importance in the united AP. But now TS government is establishing Ramadas memorial at Nelakondapalli – the birth place of Ramadas.
KCR recapped the past where Telangana people were looked down and had to bear insults and jokes about formation of the state. He claimed that he wouldn’t rest until 1 billion acres of land are wetted by Godavari and Krishna in TS.
The CMalleged that Congress is forming gangs and are creating hurdles for projects in Meddigadda. He accused Congress leaders for shamelessly reading the party scripts saying that “we got Telangana and Telangana got nothing so far.”He targeted Chidambaram and spoke in length about all the initiatives taken by the government.
KCR deplored that in Congress ruled state of Karnataka, the party is not giving 1000 rupees’ pension which the Telangana government is giving to aged persons, beedi workers, single ladies. He criticized Congress for exhibiting Indira Gandhi pictures to woe dalit voters but never worked for their upliftment. The CM questioned Congress if they are blind and remarked their future lies in an abyss.
The speech was like a trail run of state economic survey report where KCR covered every programme and the expenditure involved in it. The TRS Chief said that Chidambaram doesn’t acknowledge all the good initiatives taken up by the government and is blind eyed.
As part of Mission Bhageeratha TRS is aiming in 1 year to give internet connectivity and tap water to every home. He ridiculed Indiramma Houses as “dabba” houses which the Congress party called poor man’s heaven. TRS is constructing 6000 2BHK houses in Khammam itself. Congress took a blind bit of notice of all the government initiatives.
KCRheld that Telangana Haritha Haram and Muslim residential hostels are one of its kind programmes and are found no where in India.
KCR accused Chidambaram and Congress for making people cry for 30years by depriving them of power supply and promoting generator industries.“But now the inverter, generator, converter owners are bankrupt in Hyderabad”, said the CM
He said he will do everything feasible to complete all the irrigation projects, despite the Congress bringing the stay orders. He vowed that Sita-Rama project in Khammam will be completed in 1.5years
The CM promised the Yadav community that the government will give 75% subsidy and 4lakh sheep units in the upcoming state budget. He said also assured to develop village economy particularly for Kummari, Vishwakarma, Handloom folks.
The TRS president slated that home-guards were treated as bonded labour (vetti chakiri) in Congress reign. However now TRS is taking up measure to accommodate home guards in police department and increase salary for others who cannot be pulled into the department.
KCR criticised that Chidambaram gave dry lands, migration and bonded labour to Telangana which the TRS aims to change. He termed Congress rule as demon rule and said that the party is blind in their own cause. He called the opposition to start supporting the progressive ideology of the government so that even their villages will be developed. Thus making the state a front runner.
