Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram is said to be on a move to start a new regional party to occupy the space created by discontent being developed among people against K Chandrasekhara Rao government.
Till recently he was restraining himself without resorting to political comments, but confining reacting on issues related to development. But now started attacking directly Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao’s governance. His latest direct attack on Chief Minister itself finding fault for constructing a magnificent official residence.
Without mincing words, he accused that Rao was wasting public money by constructing new residence for the Chief Minister. Recalling that the existing CM house was constructed only recently, he advised that instead of construction a new camp office, the government could have made some changes in the existing building so as to not waste public money.
He also alleged that it was showing Rao’s scant regard to the poor and the farmers who are suffering due to government’s indifferent attitude. He said that if the government could construct such a swanky CM house within a year, then it should also take up double bedroom schemes for the poor in the same pace. He alleged that the government was being indifferent towards poor and the farmers.
He is mostly seems to be banking upon the support to be received from mass organisations working in the areas like women, farmers, agricultural labourer, trade unions and artisans.
Long back, JCA constituted a small committee to prepare an agenda for the development of Telangana state, which would be utilised as newly started party’s manifesto. In the Telangana state presently left forces are finding severe leadership crisis and unable to find a `face’ to reach the masses. Kodanda Ram and his supporters are expecting that he can fill up this gap.
