Controversial Congress leader and Legislature Party Deputy Leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy ridicules Pradesh Congress Committee President Uttam Kumar Reddy’s survey, which predicts Congress would return to power in Telangana, if elections are held today. Lamenting the survey as a fake one, he also said leader with bushy beard (Uttam) cannot get the party to win polls.
While other Congress leaders branded him as a `TRS Agent’ and demand disciplinary action against him, he pledged himself to bring back Congress party into power in the state. For this purpose, he said he would conduct `padayatra’ all over Telangana so that to get 90 seats for Congress party.
Dismissing K Chandrasekhar Rao’s government as a `family rule’ and `indiscriminately looting of public money’, he described KCR with US President Donald Trump. He deplored that Chief Minister is not even able to give appointment for them to represent on public issues. He asserted that “now we didn’t want Chief Minister’s appointment, as we are coming to power in two years”.
Interestingly, both Komatireddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy are hails from earstwhile Nalgonda district only and he has been having strained relationship with almost all Congress leaders. Very recently indicating his intention to work together with other leaders, had invited Uttam Kumar Reddy, leader of opposition K Jana Reddy and other leaders to his home twice.
Meanwhile, TPCC vice president Mallu Ravi, former Union minister P Balram Naik and other leaders have took severe exception towards attitude of Komatireddy, who had mocked TPCC chief’s survey predicting that the Congress would lose some seats in Nalgonda. They said they will complain to Congress high command seeking disciplinary action against the former minister.
Alleging that it was not the first time, but on several occasions Komatireddy has been making statements against party leaders in the state, they deplores thus he has been betraying hopes of party cadre. NSUI activists expressing their anger and discontent towards Komatireddy’s attitude, has burn his effigy in Osmania University campus.
