Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s son and TDP’s national general secretary Nara Lokesh has been making efforts to set up NTR Memorial Museum in Amaravati capital region, for which he is now in search for an ideal spot. He felt that he needed at least 15 acres for this project. Already, he said that they have started a mini museum at NTR Trust in Hyderabad, but are working to make it a big project here.
As a two-hour biopic would fail to do justice to the greatness of NTR, who took Telugu pride to its heights in not just films but in politics as well, he said he is in search of a befitting premises. “For some time my wife Brahmani and I have been working on the NTR Memorial Museum that can reflect the true contribution of the legendary leader. Our knowledge of his greatness is very short, as we were born when he was already in,” he added.
According to him, the museum was first proposed to be set up at Nimmakuru, the native place of NTR in Krishna district, but it was later decided that it would be set up in Amaravati, so that it would be more accessible. On this occasion, Lokesh called upon people to contribute to the venture by donating things they have that reflect memories of NTR.
