Those who are aware about the inner workings of the Telugu Film Industry will know about the cold war that has been going on between some sections of the media and some producers. Almost a year or so ago, some well known producers in the industry (Dil Raju, BVSN Prasad, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, Tagore Madhu, Damodar Prasad, Paruchuri Prasad etc) decided to form an association named APT (Associated Producers of Telugu Cinema). This group is also colloquially referred to as LLP.

This group has decided to advertise and work with only TV 9, NTV, Sakshi, T News among the news channels for film promotions. This has led to a violent backlash from other leading channels like TV5 and ABN. Now the cold war between these producers and tv channels is getting murkier.

For the past few months, a leading TV channel has been targeting films produced by this group. Some pretty damaging stories have come out, beginning with ‘Nenu Sailaja’. This has angered the producers, who are crying foul. ‘Krishnashtami’ and now ‘Kalyana Vaibhogame’ has also had negative stories broadcasted about them.

We will have to wait and see how this goes.
