The makers of Mahanati, a true-blue biopic on yesteryear actress Savitri, seems to have pulled off a perfect casting coup with all right choices for the crucial characters in the film.

Keerthi Suresh has already bagged brownie points for her close resemblance to Savitri’s looks and appearance. The makers are being praised for choosing the right actress to portray Savitri’s role.

Now, seasoned actor Mohan Babu’s look as the legendary SV Rangarao has been unveiled to a similar response from audience.

In the poster, Mohan Babu is inch-perfect as SVR in the role of Gathotkacha from cult classic Mayabazaar. Mohan Babu’s mien sporting the menacing smile resemblances SVR without any imperfections.

Directed by Nag Aswhin, Savitri is slated for release on May 9th.
