Did you see that hi-tech wheelchair which Nagarjuna uses in Oopiri? Well, you’d be surprised to know that it costs a whopping Rs 25 lakh! Yes, we have reliably learnt that the actor who plays a quadriplegic millionaire in the film, an adaptation of French classic The Intouchables, is seen using this state of the art wheel-chair throughout the film and we hear it was specially designed for him. The chair, was imported from Sweden just to shoot the film and the makers spent a huge sum of Rs 25 lakh for the process.
In the film, Nagarjuna is seen as a man confined to a wheelchair after a skydiving accident incapacitates his entire body below the neck. Nagarjuna underwent a lot of training to ensure he doesn’t move his hands or other parts of the body while emoting.
Co-starring Tamannaah and Karthi, the film directed by Vamshi Paidipally has opened to generally positive reviews and is going strong on the first day with an estimate collection of Rs 3.5 crores.
