Chief minister Naidu for the first time appears to have felt the political heat following the Kapu leader Mudragada’s threat to revive the agitation on one side and the alleged ‘insider trading’ in land purchases in and around the capital city, on the other. Naidu, who loves to be called as the ‘one man army’, for the first time found himself tried and wanting, and asked all his ministers to defend the government. For the first time he found his ministers not doing enough to defend the government and the party.
After the media Sakshi,a newspaper owned by opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy, reported that , how, CM’s son, ministers , MPs and kin of those in high offices in the state, in one fell swoop, purchased thousands of acres of lands on benamies in capital region, in some cases, the benamies were those who can’t buy a single acre in the capital region with their own money. The evidence surfaced was so impeccable that Naidu, who normally conducts marathon cabinet meetings, finished everything in a couple of hours Tuesday and asked the ministers to engage themselves in the fire fighting forthwith. Almost all the ministers now are fully engaged in defending the government and Naidu’s style of capital building.
While ministers Pratipati Pullarao, P Narayana, Ravela Kishore Babu, Devineni Uma have been denying the land purchases, Kapu ministers Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa, Ganta Srinivas Kollu Ravindra are trying finish Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham. Mudragada’s yeterday’s letter clearly demonstrated that truce was over as he realized that the TDP president Naidu was more interested in disarming him rather than implementing the assurance he gave to him for calling off of his fast unto death. While land ‘ministers’ were shouting from the roof tops that if YSRC proves that they had purchased lands in the insider trading from dalits, they would register the lands to YSRC leader, Kapus minister taking pains to prove that TDP was a pro-Kapu party. They were showing six Kapu ministers and many Kapu MLAa as proof for Naidu’s Kapu favoritism.
