Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu will lead a high-level delegation to Davos (Switzerland) to participate in the annual meeting of World Economic Forum-2016. Apart from highlighting the investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu’s team will hold talks with many CEOs of global companies and invite them to visit Andhra Pradesh. Some MoU are also expected to be signed.
Naidu will be in Davos from January 19 to January 24, 2016. The external affairs ministry has given its clearance to the CM and his team to visit Davos.
The theme of this year’s annual meeting is of much interest to the states like Andhra Pradesh, which have embarked on industrialization of the state in the global context, said official in the state government. ” Over 2500 delegates from business, government, international organizations, civil society, Academia etc are participating in the event. The theme of the 46 th annual meeting of WEF is ” Mastering the fourth industrial revolution,” the sources said.
Members of the team are Yanamala Ramakrishnudu (finance minister), Parakala Prabhakar ( Advisor to government, communications), P Ramesh Babu ( principal secretary, finance), Gattupalli Saiprasad ( Secretary to CM), Ajay Jain ( secretary, Energy), SS Rawat( Secretary, Industries), Jasthi Krishna Kishore ( CEO Economic Development Corporation), Pendyala Srinivasa Rao (PA to CM), Mudrageda Nagendrarao ( chief security officer, CM).
