Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu requested PM Narendra Modi to continue to extend support to successor state of Andhra Pradesh till it reaches the level of developed neighboring cities such as Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.
Turning towards PM on the dais at Amaravati, Naidu said,” Sir, with folded hands I am requesting you to help us create a level playing field among the neighboring states of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. You have extended considerable help. But, we have no city with economic activities like these states. We need your continued help to reach the levels of neighboring cities,” he said.
He also hoped equal cooperation from the Telangana Chief Minister KCR in resolving the issues created by the bifurcation of the Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu stressed on the need of a special package to Andhra Pradesh to come out of the throes of division of the state.
