Now it is official that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the Andhra Pradesh government prestigious event, for laying foundation stone for new capital Amaravati. The PMO has finalized his day long tour to AP. According to a statement released by PMO, Modi will reach Gannavaram airport near Vijayawada by a special aircraft at 11.45 am. He will then leave for Uddandarayunipalem in Thullur mandal of Guntur district to participate in the foundation stone laying ceremony.
The CM Chandrababu Naidu, joint Governor of AP and Telanagana ESL Narasimhan and other cabinet ministers will receive Modi at the airport. They will travel to road and reach the venue by 12.35 pm. and participate in the rituals amidst vedic chants.
Later Modi along with the other chief guests will witness cultural programmes and special documentary film on Amaravati. Naidu has invited prime ministers of Singapore and Japan for the ceremony. However, senior officials from the two countries are expected to attend. A film on Amaravati will be screened at the ceremony, which will also witness cultural programmes.
The PM will also launch an e-brick portal to receive donations for the construction of the state capital. The state government has already appealed to people, especially Telugus living abroad, to make contributions. Later Modi will address the gathering and he is also scheduled to felicitate the farmers who have donated lands to capital city. Soon after the ceremony, Modi will return to Gannavaram airport at 3.05 pm. and from there will fly to Tirupati. He will land at Renigunta airport at 4 m. and will reach the temple town by 5.25 pm
The prime minister will have ‘darshan’ at Tirumala temple before returning to Delhi at 7.30 pm
