Young Telugu hero Nikhil, who has resurrected his sinking career with content-rich yet experimental films (Kona Venkat’s “Shankarabharanam” is an exception) has taken another such gutsy decision. He gives foremost importance to story and he has proved it once again by giving a noted choreographer the big chance to direct him.
Raju Sundaram is a highly accomplished dance choreographer but he had to face severe criticism when he made his directorial debut almost a decade ago. Despite having stars like Ajith and Nayanthara on board, his Tamil film ‘Aegan’ was panned for poor execution. Ever since, he has been trying very hard to take his second film on to floors.
After facing rejection from several top Telugu heroes, Raju Sundaram finally found the hero of his second film, Nikhil. The young hero, who is eagerly waiting for the response for his May 19 release ‘Keshava’, has committed to work in Sundaram’s direction for his next film. Set to go on floors in June, the yet-to-be-titled film will have Nikhil playing a college student. The film, touted to be having an interesting point at its core, has scope for two leading ladies.
We need to wait and see how Raju Sundaram utilizes this golden chance given by Nikhil.
