The court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Sakshi newspaper’s editor-in-chief Ramchandra Murthy and Managing Director Y S Bharathi Reddy.

Telugu Desham party leader Chalasani Anjaneyulu filed a defamation case on the daily newspaper in Nuzvid court for publishing fabricated articles against him related to the ‘Call Money’ scam.

It may be recalled the call-money business became controversial in Krishna district. Apart from giving money for high interest rates, the borrower has to return the money whenever the lender demands. Reports emerged of political connections of the mafia with the ruling party leaders.
