Director Naveen Medaram says his upcoming film “Babu Baga Busy“, the Telugu remake of Gulshan Devaiah starrer “Hunterrr”, is sensuous but not vulgar. He also said that it should not be confused for an erotic comedy.
“A lot of people misunderstood ‘Hunterrr’ for an adult comedy. When you dig deeper, it’s an honest coming-of-age story of three friends. It’s also an emotional story of a guy who is mistaken for a sex addict. When you look beyond the erotic content, you realise it’s a story of friendship,” Naveen told IANS.
Starring Avasarala Srinivas, Mishti Chakraborty, Tejaswi Madivada, Supriya Aysola and Sree Mukhi, the film is jointly produced by Abhishek Pictures and Phantom Films.
Admitting that the remake will feature some intimate scenes, he said: “Intimacy in the film will look sensuous but not vulgar. There’s a thin line between sensuality and vulgarity and we have maintained it throughout the film.”
Did he find shooting intimate scenes with his actors challenging?
“Once they believed in my vision, they didn’t have any qualms about shooting. I have to admit I was initially nervous to shoot with Srinivas, but that feeling didn’t last long. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him every day. By the end of the shoot, we became very good friends,” he added.
Having already wrapped up the principal shooting, the makers are currently busy with the post-production.
