Talented actor Nani has secured timely hits with Bhale Bhale Magadivoi and Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gadha to bring his himself out of the rough patch. The success of these films has not only given Nani ample confidence, but also improved his market and made him a bankable star. His previous two films emerged as a big hits in the Telugu States and they performed exceptionally well in Overseas.
His upcoming film Gentleman is gearing up to hit the screens in June. The film has been creating a superb buzz in the trade circles and the pre release business is solid in all areas. After the stupendous run of his past two films in US, distributors are ready to shell out huge money for the overseas rights of his upcoming films.
In overseas, Gentleman has been acquired for 2.5 Crores by a leading distribution house and Nani’s next film, which will be directed by Virinchi Varma, has been offered 2.25 Crores. These numbers surely reflect the craze for Nani’s films among the overseas buyers. The break even for these films will be around $ 800K and Nani can achieve the mark pretty easily with a decent talk. So, distributors are showing interest on Nani movies. However, the risk with Nani and other mid range actors is that downside risk is significant if movie is average or below average. The distributor might end up loosing all the money and expenses also in some cases.
