When Rana Daggubati made a humble debut with Sekhar Kammula’s political thriller Leader back in 2009, it was just the beginning. He looked quite reserved, restricted and at the same time adorable in the role of a young CM displaying amazing feel of vulnerability which the role demanded. But the actor continued to enthrall the audience with brilliant films and of course- fantastic choice of films throughout his career.
2017 in particular has been quite remarkable for Rana as an actor. His first release Ghazi featured him in a role of a never say die naval officer and he displayed tremendous control over his modulation in dialogue delivery and body language. He looked so convincing in the role that one could mistake him to be a real time naval officer! In complete contrast, he reprised the role of evil Bhallala Deva for the second installment of Baahubali as a Summer treat. Rana gave a tough competition to the lead actor Prabhas with equal say in his role and the scene where Mahendra Baahubali is killed- Rana’s performance was drop deadly.
As if the experimentation hasn’t ended, Rana took up Nene Raju Nene Mantri- a raw political thriller directed by Teja next. His amazing chemistry with Kajal Agarwal, variations in acting skills and his role Jogendra had multiple shades which any young Tollywood actor would think twice to take up. But Rana won the hearts with his honest portrayal of a role which had negative overtones as well.
Telugu360 wishes Rana Daggubati a great birthday and fantastic year ahead
