Samantha Akkineni is going to have back to back releases this Summer. Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam and Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai are most likely to release on consecutive days in the end of March). Mahanati, in which she is playing a prominent role, is also going to release this Summer ( release date yet to be finalized).
In Rangasthalam, she is going to be seen in a completely different and de-glam avatar as a village belle. Directed by Sukumar, the film has Ram Charan as the female lead.
Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai is also going to a be a treat for Samantha’s fans as she is playing a meaty character as doctor Rathi Devi. This is the first time in her career she is paired opposite Vishal.
Another much awaited film this Summer is Mahanati in which Samantha has a narrative carrying role. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is a biopic on yesteryear actor Savitri.
Samantha has wrapped up the shooting formalities of all these three films recently. She is now gearing up to commence shooting for her ambitious project U Turn. Director Pawan Kumar will wield the megaphone.
