A case was filed in the Osmania University Police Station today by the Disability Rights group of Telangana, against the movie ‘Guntur Talkies’, it’s producer, director and other people associated with the movie.
The case was filed, citing PWD Act 1995 (Persons With Disabilities). The film contains a few dialogues that target persons with disabilities and the group alleges that these dialogues are discriminatory.
The team of Guntur Talkies has still not issued any communication in this matter. The film has come under fire for its vulgar content and adult content. Praveen Sattaru is the director of this movie.
The matter is going to be taken up for hearing in the local court. Praveen Sattaru on the other hand, remains defiant and says that the film is only for “mature audiences who can appreciate different cinema”.
