Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan has forged alliance with Mayawati’s Bahujan Samajwadi Party. As per the latest reports he is going to give 21 MLA seats and 3 MP seats to BSP in 2019 elections.
People are surprised to know that Pawan Kalyan is giving huge number of seats to BSP. He is also having alliance with communists and they are demanding 26 seats for assembly. Even if he gives 24 seats, Pawan will be left only with 130 seats for assembly. Moreover 3 out of 25 MP seats to BSP seems to be huge number again.
However, Pawan Kalyan seems to have different strategy. In 2014 elections BSP got 4.5 lakh votes in United Andhra Pradesh, which is 1% of total votes polled. Communists together got another 1.3% votes in 2014. So , all together these allies have 2.3 percent votes polled in the state, which means on the average 2.5 thousand votes per constituency ( on average most of the assembly constituencies have 1 lakh to 1.25 lakh votes polled). Even if Pawan Kalyan does not get benefit out of the 45 seats allotted to communists and BSP, if these 2,500 votes per constituency ( average) shift to janasena in the areas where its leaders are contesting, it will do majic to the results of janasena candidates.
We will have to wait and see whether this strategy of Pawan Kalyan will work out or not.
