As Praveen Sattaruâs film with Ram got shelved, he has shifted attention to Pullela Gopichand biopic. The long-in-the-development will be going on floors in September with the initial choice Sudheer Babu stepping into the shoes of former badminton ace. The film, a joint venture between Fox Star Studios and Abundantia Entertainment, will be made in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously.
Sudheer, who is awaiting the release of Indraganti Mohana Krishnaâs âSammmohanamâ presently, is considering it as a massive language and is keen on leaving no stone unturned as far as prep is considered. âI will be staying with Gopi for a considerable time to know him in and out. I feel a lot of biopics have gone wrong because the actor in question mimicked the person on whom the biopic is being made rather than getting inside his soul and portraying him. I donât want to do that. I will be losing a few more kilos for the part and will not be doing any other film till the biopic is done,â Sudheer told telugu360.com.
A former professional badminton player, the actor added that he would be also required to fine-tune his badminton skills. âThe idea is to play some real tournaments and see where I can go. Praveen is keen on capturing these matches to bring authenticity to the film. The losses wonât be a problem,â he noted flashing a smile.
