Telugu Desam party will be replicating the Nandyal by-poll model in the 2019 assembly elections alleged YSR Congress Party leader K Parthasaradhi. He said that TDP which spent Rs 200 crore for by-elections alone is budgeting the general elections outlay to be around Rs 35000crore. He said that replicating the Nandyal model is preposterous as the bypoll was not only a costly affair but also misuse of power.

He warned the TDP leaders to fulfill the promises made during the bypoll. Parthasaradhi alleged that the ruling party is not asking the turncoats resign due to the fear of losing elections. The YSRCP leader recalled that TDP has drastically lost various elections previously and that the Nandyal elections were won merely with money and muscle by terrorizing people. Parthasaradhi said if the ruling party is confident about winning, they should immediately disqualify the 20 turncoats and face the byelections.
