After resuming his Yuvagalam padayatra, TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh is meeting various sections of the people to understand their concerns and noting them for resolution once in power. On the third day of Yuvagalam 2.0 padayatra in Mummidivaram Assembly Constituency, he interacted with different groups, including DWCRA (Development of Women in Rural Areas), representatives of the Madiga and Gowda communities, along with villagers of Komanapalli.
Following the interaction with women from DWCRA, Lokesh assured full support for DWCRA groups, including the revival of the Abhaya Hastham Scheme. Criticizing Jagan Mohan Reddy for deceiving and exploiting the people, Lokesh stated that the YSRC government had looted Rs. 2500 crores from DWCRA women. He also promised to repair damaged roads and take measures to curb the drug and ganja mafia, negatively impacting the youth of the state.
Responding to the issues raised by representatives of the Madiga Community, Lokesh said that Dalits suffered the most in the state after Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power. He mentioned that in the last TDP government, they provided employment to the youth with skill training and gave unconditional pensions to eligible individuals. However, Jagan Reddy canceled all these schemes. He assured to restore all Dalit schemes canceled by Jagan after TDP comes to power.
Speaking to the people of the Gowda community, Nara Lokesh reminded them that former chief minister NT Rama Rao provided 24 percent reservation to BCs in local bodies, which was later increased to 34 percent by N Chandrababu Naidu. Noting that Jagan Mohan Reddy canceled 10 percent reservation in local bodies for BCs and diverted Rs. 75,760 crore of BC sub-plan funds, Nara Lokesh promised to give political priority to BCs when TDP comes to power. He pledged support for the Gowda community in various ways and assured assistance for overseas education for BC students._*
Meanwhile, the residents of Komanapalli village met the TDP National General Secretary and submitted petitions regarding the sand scam. In response, he assured that sand would be made available to the people with a better sand policy, and false cases would be waived against those who fought against YSRCP irregularities.
