Kurnool Municipal Corporation elections will be held very soon. TDP aspires to continue its winning streak after the results of Nandyal and Kakinada elections and pave way for 2019 elections. YSRCP has won maximum seats in the 2014 assembly elections from the Kurnool district. It is gearing up to prove its mettle in the municipal elections.
While congress is doing self-introspection after failing drastically in Nandyal and Kakinada elections, MIM is likely to contest considering the Muslim population.
TDP may want to avoid going into people along with BJP due to the minority voters. Kurnool was constituted as a municipality in the year 1994. TDP did not win in the municipality from past 23years even though it won in first elections. While this is the first ever stint for YSRCP in municipal elections.
