Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly not impressed with the structural designs of Amaravati which London-based Foster+Partners had submitted on Wednesday. He liked the waterfront and the layout, but was displeased with facade which only adds to the further delay in the construction of the Capital.
Chandrababu had suggested that a team be sent to London in along with the prominent director S S Rajamouli the next month. The Chief Minister himself will visit London on October 25 to review the designs as he wants to finalize them.
He suggested that these designs should take inspiration from the world’s top ten structures. With this delay. The scheduled foundation stone-laying ceremony on Dusshera September30 will be postponed due to non-approval of designs.
