Star writer Vijayendra Prasad has been successful with his pen but he continued to disappoint the audience as a director. After a series of debacles, the ace writer tested his luck as a director with Srivalli which released last year. The film has been declared as a massive debacle and is now turning out to be a huge headache for the veteran writer. As the budget has been exceeded, the makers are demanding Vijayendra Prasad to return Rs 2 crores from his pocket. Vijayendra Prasad promised to make the film on a decent budget but it got exceeded later. With the film performing poor, the makers are pressurizing Vijayendra Prasad.
His son Rajamouli too is not helping Vijayendra Prasad to come out of the financial debts. Vijayendra Prasad is a tensed man and is busy setting up new projects for a top Bollywood production house. There are talks that Sukumar and Vijayendra Prasad inked an interesting deal with Eros International to remake one of Sukumar’s films. With no actor showing interest to remake Nannaku Prematho, the project has been kept aside. Vijayendra Prasad recently approached Koratala Siva to remake Bharat Ane Nenu in Bollywood, but the project too did not materialize.
Vijayendra Prasad is currently busy mediating for the top Bollywood production house to set a project and earn enough to relieve himself from the financial debts of his last directorial Srivalli.
