VV Vinayak has done 14 films but he is a much sought after director with the big heroes in Telugu film industry. The actors who have worked with him are few but they are the ones who can talk about their association with Vinayak after 20-25 years with pride. Some of his films have been a failure like Badrinath, Nayak but that is because of the pressure on him as a director to dish out formula to ensure the first one week of attendance. As a student in 9th standard he would watch films every week and he grasped the pulse of the audience. Faction became an integral part of his stories when he became a director but he has been intelligent in using comedy as a support to bring in comic relief. He works only with big producers..heroes and does perfect planning in life and movies as well. Even before he gets his money he begins planning, as to where he should invest it, doesn’t believe in risk and opts for safe ventures. Vinayak is a sensitive man, keeps to himself and people say he doesn’t even go on stage if he notices there are people who hurt him are standing on the dais. Let us see if the director has changed his style of directing to be in tune with contemporary stories or if he is still hanging on to his formulaic story telling?
