Hyderabad: TDP supremo and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has found fault with retired bureaucrats, who’re raising concerns over political pressure on government officials, and questioned them where were they when chief secretary Anil chandra Punetha was transferred by the Election Commission (EC). It’s nothing but blaming the TDP government with personal agenda, remarked CBN.
“One district Collector, who belongs to SC community, and two SPs were transferred by the EC without serving them notices. Why didn’t these retired officials talk about that. Where were you when about 65 retired IAS officers complained against the EC. This pack of retired officials is with a personal agenda and under influence of some vested interests, which is attacking me. Wasn’t LV Subramanyam co-accused in corruption cases against YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Before appointing chief secretary, the EC should have consulted us and how come decisions are unilaterally taken at New Delhi,” criticises CBN.
The AP chief minister has further clarified that he doesn’t have any grudge against anyone, but never compromises in maintaining values in politics and administration.
He raised doubts over chief secretary going to DGP office for a cup of tea at 5pm on the polling day. “How can responsible officials behave like that when law and order situation in the state was out of control? Instead of monitoring electoral process, why did he visit DGP office? Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government are attacking opposition parties to suppress them.
