Going by the characters Superstar Mahesh Babu has essayed so far in his career, it is highly unlikely on his part to consider acting in a mythological movie. Despite this, Shrikumar Menon, the director of the recently announced Rs 1000 Cr worth Mahabharata movie has plans of casting the actor in the role of Lord Krishna.
In a recent interview, Menon himself divulged that either Mahesh or Hrithik Roshan will play the role of Lord Krishna in the epic Mahabharata he is set out to make. Hrithik is a great choice provided the actor gives hid nod. Mahesh may not show interest given that neither he has ever aspired to act in a mythological movie nor the role of Krishna is the main lead in Menon’s version of Mahabharata.
The film is based on ‘Randamoozham’, a book written by eminent Malayalam writer Vasudevan Nair. It narrates the story from the eyes of Bhima and the character will be essayed by Mohanlal.
Middle East based businessman BR Shetty will invest Rs 1000 crore in this epic film which will be made in two parts.
