Opposition YSR Party ridiculed chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s claim that the Agriculture was doing extremely well in Andhra Pradesh. The party expressed dismay that Naidu was resorting at Davos while the farmers were suffering Andhra Pradesh. YSRC’s farmers’ wing chief Nagi Reddy expressed surprise that as to how a chief minister makes such statements when the entire Krishna Godavari delta agriculture gone dry.
“Farmers from Andhra Pradesh, following the failure rains and lack of farm works are migrating to the neighbouring states for livelihood. This could be known even from inquiring his own party’s supporters among the farmers,” Reddy said.
Stating the there was no connection between what he talks and he does, Nagireddy said the gap was growing between his claims and the reality at the ground level.
” Chief minister Naidu should introspect when he was alone about his tall claims and if there was any connect between his talk and the reality,” he said.
Nagireddy said farmers were terrible crisis in Andhra Pradesh.
“Due to the drying up of Krishna-Godavari Delta is creating crisis in the farm sector. Chief minister Naidu appears to have no clarity on what is going on around him in the farm sector. I request him to atleast inquire the farmers who voted for the TDP,” he said dismissing the statement of Naidu that there were no problems in the state.
