YSRCP Chief YS Jagan announced that YSRCP MPs will resign if the Centre does not grant ‘Special Status’ to Andhra Pradesh. It has to be noted that, YS Jagan took part in a meeting last evening, with key leaders in YSRCP. The ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’ by YS Jagan has reached to the 86th day. The YSRCP Supremo is participating in road shows, and walking along roads, from morning to evening, and is holding important meetings with local YSRCP leaders and members.
Speaking at the Kaligiri Mandal, Nellore District during his Yatra, Jagan said, ‘we will be fighting for AP Special Status until April 6th. If the Centre doesn’t grant the Special Status, our (YSRCP) MPs will resign. Special Status is the only lifeline of Andhra Pradesh and not the Special Package. We will stage protests from March 5th (the day Parliament resumes) to April 6th in the Parliament premises.
The BJP led-NDA Government should stick to the promise made in the Parliament prior to 2014 General Assembly elections. Who is Chandrababu Naidu to trade Special Status for Special Package? Special Status is the right of Andhra people. On March 5th, I will lead my party MPs, MLAs and other members, in the demonstrations against the Centre’s decision at Jantar Mantra, New Delhi’.
The Centre is surely going to have a tough time even before the election campaigning for 2019 General Election begins!
